PURPOSE

MISSION
STATEMENT

To preserve, perpetuate and promote the working
Foundation Quarter Horse.

To preserve the bloodlines and type of horse
upon which the AQHA was founded.

To demonstrate at our shows, sales, futurities
and clinics the versatile, intelligent,
athletic, good-minded and easy-keeping animals
that formed the breed.
OBJECTIVES OF THE ASSOCIATION
-
The promotion of the foundation
quarter horse
-
To offer educational programs in
the breeding and development of foundation
quarter horses and to make the same available at
no cost to the youth of the State of Texas
-
To hold competitive events.
-
To reach a wide audience
including youth, nonprofessionals and
professionals
-
To communicate and coordinate
with other groups within the state and
surrounding states and the promotion of
foundation quarter horses and foundation quarter
horse functions.
-
To promote the marketing of
foundation quarter horses from Texas breeders
and to develop a major futurity and sale
program.
-
To affiliate the Texas
Foundation Quarter Horse Association with the
AQHA and other associations as may be from time
to time deemed advisable by the Board of
Directors
